Tension handle attaches to one end of the tape and the proper tension is applied when the measurement is taken. When measuring with an unsupported line, tension handle should be used to counteract the effect of sag. Rust proof brass construction with black-filled etched graduations. Graduations begin at snap and end are easy-to-read when tension is applied. For use with steel tapes for extremely accurate measurements.
